What should you do to prepare to Donate Blood?
| Two Weeks Before: |
Observe a diet of food high in iron for two weeks prior to giving blood to avoid disqualification from low iron. |
| Day Before: |
- Keep Well Hydrated
- Get Adequate Sleep
|
| Day of Donation: |
- Eat a nutritious meal with both protein and carbohydrates
- Keep well hydrated
|
Bring ID with one of the following to the donation
- Full Name and Signature
- Full Name and Photo
- Blood Donor Card
